Job Description:

As our Emergency Nurse, you will be a compassionate and pivotal healthcare professional, delivering comprehensive nursing care and leading patient-centered care initiatives. Every day, you will expertly assess patient/family health needs in the ED, leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans, and providing technical nursing care to diverse age populations (neonatal to geriatric) with developmental understanding. You'll actively uphold our Organization's Mission, Core Values, and support strategic and Performance Improvement plans.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, functional, high risk and discharge needs of the patient and family
  • Complete and document initial assessment/care within required time frames
  • Perform reassessments/care at intervals as required or appropriate to the patient's specific needs
  • Ensure physical assessment/care includes all major body systems
  • Ensure spiritual assessment/care includes actual/expressed needs
  • Incorporate cultural and ethnic factors into assessment/care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
  • Current California RN License
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Nice to have:

  • Bachelors in health related field
  • 6 months recent acute care experience
  • ED experience
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course
