Job Responsibility:
Adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures
Administers medications as ordered
Assesses patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs
Implements patient interventions and evaluates outcomes
Plans care based on needs identified
Provides holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care
Prepares patient for discharge and assists with coordinating post discharge needs
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and competence
Demonstrates competent professional practice and engages in professional growth
Documents care delivered and patient status
Receives and assures appropriateness of physician orders
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Registered Nurse license in WA
Basic Life Support - CPR certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 Days
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 12 months OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months
Trauma Nurse Core Course certification within 12 months
Nice to have:
Bachelors Of Science in Nursing
One year of related work experience in an acute care setting
Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years
Critical care experience current within the last 2 years
