The incumbent is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Job Responsibility:
Assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment
Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data
Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs
Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family
Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems
Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
Follows unit specific safety regulations and guidelines
Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict
Requirements:
2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience
Associates Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Working knowledge of basic dysrhythmia
Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
Licensed or eligible for licensing in State as a Registered Nurse
BLS and ACLS certifications (from an AHA designated trainer)
PALS certification (or must obtain this certification within 6 months of hire or transfer into position)
