As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. The Staff RN is a licensed professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.
Job Responsibility:
Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other practitioners as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel
Reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician/shift coordinator/supervisor as appropriate
Demonstrates ability to perform technical nursing procedures/skills of patient care competently, seeking assistance when appropriate
Implements patient histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients. Documents on care plans as patient care evolves, including resolution of problems
Assesses patient educational needs and barriers to learning. Implements multidisciplinary patient education care plan and documents patient teaching
Requirements:
Current CA RN licensure
One year recent critical care or emergency department experience required (may consider training if current staff skillset and experience allows)
Working knowledge of basic dysrhythmia
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
