Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department while coordinating care planning with other disciplines. Deliver care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients, determining priorities based on individual conditions and factors that influence patient flow. Communicate effectively with ED physicians regarding changes in status, symptoms, and diagnostic results, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Job Responsibility:
Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department while coordinating care planning with other disciplines
Deliver care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients, determining priorities based on individual conditions and factors that influence patient flow
Communicate effectively with ED physicians regarding changes in status, symptoms, and diagnostic results, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassess as per policy, includes neonate/pediatric/adolescent/geriatric patients/and the general patient population
Ability to assess/reassess pain/and pain management, vital signs and patient progress and educates patient/family regarding pain management
Ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patient, and correctly interpret the results
Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring
identify dysrhythmias and treats appropriately, and accurately assigns triage categories
Requirements:
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Current PALS Certification
Current MARS certification
Night Shift 7p-7a (As assigned by department manager)
Depending on department staffing needs, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Acute / critical care experience preferred
Proficient in interpreting EKG, and basic computer knowledge
