RN: CVICU

This CVICU nursing role involves providing advanced cardiac care during 12-hour night shifts in Prescott, AZ. Nurses will monitor critically ill patients with complex conditions such as MI, CAD, and PVD, utilizing equipment like vents, BiPAP, and monitor techs. A key aspect of this position is managing titrated drips such as Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, and Insulin, ensuring precise medication delivery. Expect to collaborate with intensivists and charge nurses, and to be involved in highly technical procedures like IABP, CRRT, and handling patients post-OR open heart surgeries. The unit emphasizes a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, with the possibility of floating to other departments as needed. Passion for cardiac emergencies and technical skills like dysrhythmia interpretation are essential, along with passing a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract.
