Job Responsibility

This position uses clinical knowledge and knowledge of coded data for documentation requirements to improve overall patient quality, capture severity, acuity and risk of mortality
Will have expertise in understanding the clinical documentation requirements for coding of patient records using a multidisciplinary team process
Works with hospital teams to reach goals and objectives of the program which include quality, safety, data integrity and accurate reimbursement
This position functions within the Health Information Management Department and reports to the Coding Manager
