As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge.

Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery
Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team
Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments
Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management
Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family
Act as a professional role model for all staff
Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process
Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments
Run front desk in the OR
Ensure assignments for staff meet the daily need
Schedule the next day’s assignments
Communicate case changes to staff, support, and coach staff
Hold staff accountable to policy and high standard of practice
Collaborate with the lead Anesthesiologist on daily case flow and efficiency
Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/practices for department associates
Act as leadership within the department to support staff, Manager and Director
Clinical role - taking over rooms when coming in and any add ons throughout the night
Prep rooms for next days cases when no surgeries are going on
Coming in if needed and acting as department resource
Requirements:
Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required
RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
Previous OR Experience across multiple service lines required
Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Nice to have:
BSN, preferred
Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred
Previous Leadership Experience preferred
