Job Description:

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides necessary assessment, intervention and evaluation for Cath Lab patients
  • Uses multidisciplinary approach to patient care
  • Maintanis competence and functions independently with more complex treatments, procedures, and medical equipment such as set up and troubleshooting of IABP, Hemodynamic monitoring, Administration of Aniti-thrombolytic therapy, ECG monitors, cardiopulmonary arrest, perform activated clotting times (ACTs)
  • Act quickly and appropriately in life-threatening emergency situations
  • Willingly participates and adheres to NPSG and The Joint Commission core measures to ensure safe patient care
  • Holding room, Receives patients from nursing units and outside hospitals, Assesses pre-procedure needs and institues appropriate nursing care, provides post-procedure care following physician orders, directs transfer of post-procedure patients to appropriate nursing unit

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
  • Experience in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

  • Reviews patient charts for completeness and identifies indicators that may place the patient at risk
  • Maintains the pre- and post-procedure holding area and assists with patient transport as needed
  • Prepares and administers medications and contrast media under the supervision of the cardiologist
  • Provides radiation protection to patients, staff, and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards
