AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
American Heart Association BLS certification
American Heart Association ACLS certification (in monitored areas)

Job Responsibility

Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors, identifying and reporting any abnormalities or changes (e.g., arrhythmias, ischemia, heart block)
Assess for signs and symptoms of cardiac compromise, fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and medication side effects
Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, temperature) and hemodynamic parameters
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, other nurses, and ancillary staff regarding patient status, changes, and concerns
Educate patients and families on their specific cardiac condition, disease process, and treatment plan
