RN Cardiac Catheterization

• Demonstrating knowledge of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease processes and diagnostic/interventional processes
• Demonstrating knowledge of pharmacology including dosing, indications and contraindications
• Ensuring the five 'rights' of medication
• Accounting for controlled medications per hospital policy
• Demonstrating proficiency in specialized Cath Lab equipment
• Verifying physician orders and reviewing patient clinical record for consents, history and physical, NPO status, and allergies prior to procedures

• California Registered Nurse license
• 12 months consecutive experience within ICU and/or ER or CCL and/or Surgical Services is required
• Registered Nurse, CA
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support

1-3 years consecutive experience within ICU and/or ER or CCL and/or Surgical Services is recommended
