Qualified RGN or RMN
Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical role within a care setting
Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to lead and mentor others
Confident understanding of clinical governance, audits, and compliance
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A compassionate, professional and person-centred approach
A proactive leader who can support and inspire the team
Ability to work alternate weekends (shared with the Home Manager)

Job Responsibility

Providing strong clinical leadership and setting high standards across the service
Ensuring the safe, effective and person-centred delivery of care at all times
Supporting clinical governance, compliance and quality improvement initiatives
Overseeing care planning, medication management and clinical audits
Coaching and supporting nursing and care staff to deliver excellent care
Ensuring accurate, compliant and up-to-date clinical records
Building positive, professional relationships with residents, families and external professionals
Supporting the Home Manager to maintain or increase clinical standards across the home

Job Responsibility

To ensure appropriate standards are maintained by monitoring and that appropriate professional support is provided to senior staff /team leaders
Appropriate reviews of care plans /risk assessments and medication administration. To ensure all assessment tools are in place and are fully utilised
Ensure all residents have a complete care assessment prior to admission to the home, taking account of their physical, social and psychological needs. To ensure as a minimum an annual re assessment of each resident’s needs
Deploy staff efficiently in relation to care duties to be covered by setting up and controlling the duty rota. Check and monitor care staff hours and authorise time sheets in absence of Home Manager
To establish good personal relationships with residents and their families
Work with the Home Manager to ensure all induction and mandatory training is completed. To identify other specific training needs
To work with the Home Manager on achievement of action plans from external regulators or internal support functions
