Job Description:

This role will report into the Client Policy Team Manager (C14) and will be responsible for implementing key process and establishing adequate governance around ‘Policy Documents’. In addition, the role will be working closely with 1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD teams towards enhancing the businesses control framework to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards but also with external regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support document owners in the development of documents that are fit for purpose, and in line with business objectives and industry laws and regulations
  • Validate that document requirements are clear and prescriptive with a path to implementation and adherence, and manage ongoing compliance with maintenance, monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate a periodic convention, dedicated to policy matters including but not limited to approval of new, substantively revised and retired Policies, Standards and Procedures and oversee the progress of documents in development
  • Maintain line of sight into new and revised enterprise Policy Documents with applicability to Client
  • drive comprehensive reviews to represent Client concerns
  • Coordinate a periodic convention, dedicated to policy matters including but not limited to pre-vetting of new or amended Policy Documents, impact analysis, and any implementation concerns
  • Identify and coordinate implementation actions where development of Client specific Procedures will be required
  • The provision of guidance and advise to Client teams with regards to matters pertaining to policy requirements
  • The active involvement in Programs, Projects and transformation workstreams pertaining to Policy Documents

Requirements:

  • Relevant years of experience in a business risk & controls, corporate governance, or assurance domains
  • Prior experience in Policy Documentation governance and management including coordination of related governance conventions
  • Experience in drafting policies or advising on policy content would be preferred
  • Proven experience in interacting with 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defense in the context of Policy related matters
  • Proven experience in critically interpreting regulations/ policies/ standards and converting them into logical procedures and control documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • ability to think strategically, apply professional judgment and critically access or challenge the ‘status quo’
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to lead multiple projects, multitask and deliver results against agreed deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations
  • A proactive and “no surprises” approach in communicating issues
  • Range of experience demonstrating flexibility in skillset and approach
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
