Establish and maintain an industry ‘good practice' risk modelling environment, taking a leading role in delivering an ongoing programme of model development and maintenance within a well-managed and controlled environment and culture
Assist in planning and executing the modelling agenda, liaising with senior colleagues and team members, and wider stakeholders (internal and external) as required
Enhance the Society's capabilities to deliver increasingly sophisticated risk models in line with a comprehensive organisation status under the Building Societies Sourcebook (BSOCS), and as an IRB firm
Further develop standards, tools and capabilities of the team to support model risk management across the model lifecycle
Champion the use and understanding of credit risk models – and wider risk modelling generally – across the Society and stakeholders, through stakeholder engagement and relationship management
Requirements
Substantial experience of credit risk model development
Ability to communicate complex and technical information and, where appropriate, translate messaging for a non-technical audience
Experience of managing and developing a professional team to high performance standards
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
High quality documentation skills
