As a Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact our operations and strategic objectives. You will develop and implement risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a regulatory or international environment, along with relevant certifications such as CRM or CRP. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with flexible working arrangements. By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.
Job Responsibility:
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the operations and strategic objectives
Developing and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enhance the organization's resilience
Conducting risk assessments to determine the likelihood and impact of potential risks
Developing risk profiles and maintaining a comprehensive risk register
Developing and implementing a robust risk management framework aligned with strategic goals
Establishing risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
Designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls
Monitoring the effectiveness of risk controls and making necessary adjustments
Collaborating with various departments to integrate risk management practices into daily operations
Preparing and presenting risk reports to senior management and stakeholders
Communicating risk management activities and outcomes to relevant parties
Providing training and support to staff on risk management practices and policies
Leading incident response and crisis management activities
Investigating and analyzing incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
Maintaining records of incidents and corrective actions taken
Continuously monitoring the risk environment and updating risk management practices accordingly
Staying informed about emerging risks and industry trends
Fostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management within the organization
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a regulatory or international environment
Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Risk Professional (CRP), or similar are highly desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in risk management tools and methodologies
Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
Strong project management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve risk management goals
Strong capability to analyze complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
Expertise in communicating risk-related information clearly and effectively
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
