We’re partnering with a leading London Market insurer to appoint a Risk Manager into their second line Risk function. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping and enhancing the organisation’s Risk Management Framework. Reporting into the Head of Risk, you’ll support the ongoing development, embedding, and continuous improvement of the Risk Management Framework, providing forward-looking and commercially focused risk oversight aligned to strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.
Job Responsibility
Support and enhance the Risk Management Framework, promoting strong risk culture and ownership
Deliver high-quality risk reporting for internal committees and external stakeholders
Maintain risk and control registers, ensuring accuracy and alignment to the evolving risk profile
Facilitate and manage the RCSA process across the business
Lead risk event reporting and ensure incidents are appropriately captured and monitored
Support development and maintenance of risk policies and procedures
Assist with risk appetite, KRIs, and ongoing monitoring frameworks
Contribute to emerging risk identification, including leading deep-dive assessments
Support operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing processes
Play a key role in the ORSA process and risk input into business planning
Support internal model governance, validation, and assurance activities
Ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements (Lloyd’s, PRA, FCA)
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in Risk Management within the Lloyd’s / London Market
Strong understanding of prudential regulation (Lloyd’s, PRA, Solvency UK / Solvency II)
Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across underwriting and business functions
Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
Comfortable working with data, systems, and reporting tools (incl. Microsoft Office)
