Job Description

In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening the firm’s risk and controls environment by partnering closely with Technology, CISO, and second-line risk teams. You’ll help identify emerging technology risks, assess control effectiveness, and support continuous improvement across a complex, evolving technology landscape.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Risk Function in delivering its objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities
  • Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes
  • Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services
  • Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment

Requirements

  • Experience with technology risk domains including cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, and operational resilience
  • Experience with risk and control frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, or SOC 2
  • Experience assessing and challenging technology controls across applications, networks, and cloud environments
  • Experience with risk analysis, control testing, and remediation planning to address control gaps
  • Ability to communicate technical risks clearly and effectively to business and senior stakeholders

  • Understanding of technology architectures and system design to assess inherent risk in complex environments
  • Experience navigating regulatory expectations related to technology, cybersecurity, cloud, and resilience
