Job Description:

An international law firm with a strong global footprint is currently looking to appoint a Risk Lawyer to join their Legal & Regulatory team, based in central London. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to work within a growing, collaborative Risk function at a firm known for its commitment to regulatory excellence and cross-border capability.

Job Responsibility:

Managing regulatory compliance across the firm’s international offices
Assisting in professional indemnity claims, including disclosure, file reviews, and liaison with external counsel
Drafting and reviewing engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and internal legal notices
Conducting legal research and responding to internal risk queries
Supporting enterprise risk projects, including horizon scanning and maintaining risk registers
Advising on contract risk, particularly in relation to client and supplier agreements
Collaborating on the integration of new offices and service lines
Assisting with the development and delivery of firm-wide risk training

Requirements:

Experience in managing claims or disputes, particularly in a professional negligence or in-house legal context
Strong understanding of SRA regulatory requirements
Sound knowledge of data protection and privacy law
Confident drafting ability and analytical thinking
Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills
A proactive mindset and interest in contributing to a growing risk team
