Job Description:

Unit Risk & Compliance Specialist position at IKEA focusing on risk awareness, compliance with legal requirements, safety and security analysis, and supporting informed decision-making aligned with unit goals and business plans.

Job Responsibility:

Promote risk awareness in the unit to support informed decision-making
Support the Risk Manager in analyzing Safety & Security trends to identify, manage, and mitigate key risks
Ensure accurate administration of accounting practices, purchase orders, and invoices
Ensure unit compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for operational licenses
Manage access to the internal control system(s)
Collaborate with the Unit Management Team to analyze risks and establish local controls

Requirements:

2 years of related experience in Safety, Security, and/or Compliance
Knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders
Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring compliance with federal laws and regulations and internal guidance
Verbal and written communication skills
Travel is required for this role (less than 5%, 1 day per month on average)
Physical Demands: Lifting, Pushing/Pulling, Sliding/Transferring and Carrying rarely (1-25lbs)
