Job Description

A leading global professional & legal services firm is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its dynamic Global Compliance team in Guernsey. In this key role, you will help shape and strengthen the firm’s compliance culture—developing global risk policies, maintaining key procedures, and participating in control testing as part of the Compliance Monitoring Programme. You will work closely with legal, governance, and business teams to ensure regulatory alignment across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Channel Islands and Caribbean.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and updating global Risk & Compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions (e.g. financial crime, data protection, confidentiality, Law Society Codes)
  • Conducting independent research and collaborating with internal policy and compliance teams to support policy development
  • Partnering with Legal, Governance, and Business Controls teams to analyse new regulations and implement necessary policy changes
  • Collaborating with internal departments to align compliance efforts across the business
  • Maintaining and enhancing the compliance SharePoint page, leveraging automation and digital tools to improve services
  • Participating in control testing as part of the annual risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme across multiple licenses and regions
  • Supporting stakeholder inquiries and contributing to regular compliance and business reporting related to policy updates and monitoring outcomes

Requirements

  • Experience in Compliance, Risk, or operational control functions
  • Strong understanding of regulated fiduciary or financial services across key offshore jurisdictions
  • Excellent policy writing, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for high standards
