Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant to participate in analysis and modeling initiatives, identify process improvements, review programming models, coordinate performance reports, and collaborate with various business lines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in less complex analysis and modeling initiatives
  • Identify opportunity for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation improvements within Risk Management
  • Review and analyze programing models to extract data
  • Manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling
  • Exercise independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium risk deliverables
  • Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
  • Present recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, experienced managers, compliance, including various lines of business

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Commercial/Consumer Lending practices, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of risk management practices, extensive knowledge of financial data
  • Demonstrated proficient SQL experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects
  • Proficient experience in identifying and evaluating data trends, isolating root cause, and providing swift/thorough resolution
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure
  • Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences
  • Relevant experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry domain
  • Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence
  • Relevant experience in SAS & SQL and one of the visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Relevant experience in Data Quality/Data Defects/Data Governance
  • Relevant experience with applying and executing, reviewing controls or assurance with business processes
