We are currently looking to hire an experienced Rigging Team Leader to lead and supervise UK wide Rigging Engineers. You will manage all rigging activities whilst on site, installation of feeders, antenna, mast head amplifiers and all other associated equipment in accordance with the Site Selection Form or equivalent documents.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring all site staff are registered and booked on/off site
  • Compiling and completing client handover documentation to required specifications
  • Ensuring all site-specific documentation such as Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Dynamic Risk Assessment are fully read, understood, signed and complied with by all site staff
  • Ensuring all site staff check all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools and equipment prior to use and report any defects to the QHSE department
  • Ensuring all site staff report all accidents, incidents, good catches / interventions and non-conformances to the QHSE department
  • Ensuring all site staff follow the Safe System of Work (SSoW) established by project leaders
  • Ensuring all works are completed as per site specific drawings, instructions, Scope of Works and documentation
  • Ensuring the rigging vehicle is operational, safe to drive and always maintained correctly with all incidents or damage reported to the transport department

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Telecoms environment
  • Clear driving license
  • Working at height experience, and a good understanding of rigging specifications and standards for the major networks
  • Experience of working as a 2nd Man/person in the installation of telecoms antennas, feeders, MHAs, and associated steel work etc., cabling, labelling and cable terminations, rig and testing feeders, running feeders, DC and Fibre cable, terminating feeders, installing Tray work and general rigging duties
  • Must be prepared to work and stay away from home nationally as required
  • Must have the necessary certifications: Advanced Climber
  • Working at Heights
  • Rescue from Towers, Masts & Structures
  • Rooftop Awareness/Safety
  • Radio Frequency (RF) Awareness
  • Emergency First Aid at height
  • Winch Training
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • TEL003 DC Certification

Nice to have:

Electrical and Commissioning experience would be an advantage although not essential
