Job Description:

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of engineered precast in the world. They are looking for highly motivated Riggers to join their Welshpool, WA site. You will be responsible for setting up and operating rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment whilst in the construction phase of projects.

Job Responsibility:

Operate rigging equipment, including cranes, hoists and pulleys
Perform regular inspections on rigging equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose and in a safe working condition
Work closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient completion of lifting operations
Transporting, Flipping concrete by using Gantry Crane
Signal or verbally direct team engaged in lifting or moving tasks to ensure safety
Outdoor environmental exposure
Assist other team members in all works being undertaken on site, not just rigging

Requirements:

White Card (essential)
Basic rigging ticket (essential)
Valid drivers license and own transport (essential)
Reliable and with high attention to detail
Strong understanding of rigging techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work in challenging environments.
Excellent signalling, oral and written communication skills
An attitude of “Safety First” backed up by solid experience delivering safe and reliable work
Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical check which includes drug and alcohol screening

Work with cranes, overhead lifting systems, powered lifting tools, and manual handling aids
Strictly follow nuclear site safety rules, including SPA/CCNSG, permit-to-work systems, radiological controls, and isolation procedures
Complete pre-job briefs, toolbox talks, and dynamic risk assessments
Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, equipment checks, lifting gear registers, and reporting of defects
Adhere to LOLER, PUWER, and site-specific nuclear safety regulations
Operate at all times with full awareness of nuclear safety culture, zero-harm principles, and contamination control requirements
