Job Responsibility

Deliver Consultant-led Rheumatology outpatient and inpatient services across the region
Manage a broad range of rheumatological conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease, vasculitis, crystal arthritis, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal disorders
Provide supervision and specialist advice for referrals from acute medicine and other specialities
Contribute to integrated care pathways and multidisciplinary management plans
Participate in biologic therapy services, infusion services, monitoring clinics and ambulatory care pathways
Work collaboratively with Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Renal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and other specialities
Support general internal medicine services and contribute to the consultant on-call rota where required
Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and patient safety programmes
Teach and supervise junior doctors, nursing staff, allied health professionals and undergraduate medical students
Maintain continuing professional development, appraisal and revalidation requirements
