The Wealth Request for Proposal team plays a vital role in the effort to win new business for BlackRock’s Wealth businesses and liaises closely with colleagues across sales groups and portfolio management teams to deliver high-quality, consistent, and cohesive quantitative and qualitative information to prospective and existing clients. The successful candidate will be a member of a specialist team responsible for coordinating the completion of new business Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) upon request. Budapest-based RFP writers work closely with their colleagues in London, as well as with other teams like Product Strategy, Sales, Legal and Compliance, Sustainable Investing teams, and Business Operations across the International business. This role presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of the business and acquire a wealth of knowledge about the operation of BlackRock, its position in the market, and the products we manage.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the end-to-end completion of new business RFPs and existing business DDQs in a professional, accurate, and timely manner, covering a wide range of products including equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives
Forge a partnership with the product teams to develop a full understanding of the team and how they invest money on behalf of clients
Take full ownership of client requests, driving them through to resolution with due care and attention within agreed timeframes
Act as a point of contact for sales and client service teams who request RFPs and DDQs for their clients
Collaborate closely with other RFP team members to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality responses for our clients
Embrace and contribute to the evolution of DDQ/RFP processes, automation, and technology
Help maintain the existing repository and build new content used in proposals and due diligence questionnaires
Be a student of the market and implement learnings in writing RFPs
Requirements:
An Economics/Finance Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
For Associate level candidates at least 3-4 years of proven work experience within financial services/asset management (preferably within an RFP role), and 0-3 years for Analyst level candidates
An understanding of financial markets and a strong interest in the investment industry is required
A professional, motivated individual who demonstrates drive and enthusiasm
Willing to learn, work with feedback, innovate, and improve
High proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Client-focused attitude, with dedication to continuously offering the highest level of client service
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues in different teams
Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage own priorities and meet hard deadlines
