Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a X-Plant Electrical Assembler to join our X-Plant department based in Mobile, AL. The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft.

Job Responsibility:

  • Outstanding Work from Europe Plant Partners, Non-Conformities and snag sheets raised during standard FAL activities, Customer findings recorded in Quality Log Book, and Technical Log Book write ups during Flight Line and Delivery Phases
  • Ensure FAL and Flight Line milestones are achieved while operating with the highest degree of safety, quality, cost, and adherence to schedule
  • Work across multiple competencies in order to provide superior support to Mobile FAL and Flight Line Operations
  • Assembly ready for integration or assembly integrated with associated production documentation in the product

Requirements:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques
  • 2+ Years hands-on experience in aviation with repair work
  • Knowledge of hand, power tools, Cutting Tools, Related to airbus manufacturing
  • Willingness to learn and cross-skill within multiple functions and competencies
  • Ability to work across different teams to coordinate and complete activities
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve
  • Knowledge of station safety, quality, FOD, and OSHA regulations
  • Able to enter, generate, and Retrieve information using a computer or tablet (SAP and Excel Knowledge preferred)
  • Perform basic electrical tests (continuity, bonding, insulation, DC high voltage)
  • Physical Requirements: Vision, Hearing, Speaking, Equipment Operation, Carrying up to 30lbs/14kgs, Lifting up to 30lbs/14kgs, Pushing / Pulling, Sitting, Squatting / Kneeling, Standing, Travel, Walking
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required

  • Using OrCAD schematic design tools, improve or modify embedded mixed-signal electronic circuitry that integrates high voltage power supply circuitry, microcontrollers, flashlight/indication/display/LASER circuitry and drivers, memory devices (FLASH/EEPROM), switch-mode and linear power supplies, batteries, high-speed and low-speed data interfaces, electromechanical transducers, and other discrete digital and analog components for flex, rigid, and rigid-flex PCB designs
  • Partner with PCB Design engineers to define, plan, implement, and inspect printed circuit board layout updates using Allegro and other layout tools
  • Develop test methods, execute system and component-level verification, and lead test planning efforts to evaluate electronics design changes
  • Team with validation and other engineering teams to evaluate and document design update outcomes, test results, and related information, then present findings to management for review and further action
  • Update and help to finalize assembly drawings, bill of materials, Geber files, and other design documentation needed to support updated design change releases
