Marston Holdings is seeking an experienced and strategic Reward Partner to lead the design and delivery of a modern, data driven reward strategy. This is a newly created role, giving you the platform to build, streamline, and elevate reward across a large, complex, unionised environment. In this stand alone position you’ll work closely with senior leaders, drive high impact reward initiatives, and ensure our approach supports engagement, performance, and long-term organisational growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead on the execution of Group wide reward, compensation and benefits strategies
  • Lead on Gender Pay Gap reporting and associated statements
  • Manage job benchmarking, job evaluation, and grading processes to ensure fair and consistent remuneration
  • Oversee the procurement, implementation, and management of benefits packages, including health & wellbeing initiatives, EAPs, and salary sacrifice schemes
  • Design and deliver annual pay reviews, incentive schemes, and performance-based reward programmes
  • Use analytical tools to interpret compensation data, identify trends, and present strategic insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure all reward and benefits policies are compliant with legislation and internal governance standards
  • Support TUPE related harmonisation and integration across newly acquired businesses
  • Develop job level frameworks, role grading structures, and competency models to support clarity and career development
  • Drive the roll-out of the annual Reward and Recognition Programme in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Support wider organisational design and development initiatives, ensuring reward practices align with business change

Requirements:

  • Reward leadership experience in a large, unionised organisation
  • Proven success designing and implementing reward and benefits strategies that drive engagement, performance, and retention
  • Experience managing reward through change, including mergers, acquisitions, or restructures
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, tax efficient schemes, and salary sacrifice
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable strategy
  • Expertise in job evaluation (Hay/Mercer), pay modelling, benchmarking, and reward policy
  • Confident influencing and communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing full reward cycles and large scale projects on time and on budget
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with reward platforms and analytics tools (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday, Mercer)
