This is a highly operational, hands-on Group Reward role responsible for building and running core reward processes across multiple European markets. You will work closely with in-country HR Leads, Finance, and business leadership to deliver consistent, scalable, and commercially sound reward practices. The role requires someone who can both design and implement, building foundational reward structures while also owning day-to-day delivery. This is not a purely strategic role, success will come from someone who is comfortable being deep in the detail, working through data, systems, and processes, while shaping a scalable reward framework for a growing, acquisitive business.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and deliver multi-country annual pay review cycles (UK, France, Switzerland, Germany) in partnership with local HR Leads
Run annual bonus scheme cycles, including modelling, governance, and communication
Support in-country HR and Finance teams with salary benchmarking, pay decisions, and cost modelling
Provide real-time market insight and analysis to ExCo and leadership teams to support decision-making
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reward processes
Work with HR, Finance, and operational leaders to harmonise legacy reward schemes across acquired businesses
Identify inconsistencies in pay, benefits, and incentive structures and develop pragmatic alignment plans
Support integration of acquisitions by bringing historical pay, bonus, and benefits schemes into a consistent framework
Ensure all reward practices are aligned with local regulations and market norms
Design and implement a group-wide job architecture for the first time (job families, levels, and grading)
Build country-specific pay structures and salary bands, particularly for operational and field-based roles
Develop a consistent job evaluation and benchmarking approach across markets
Ensure structures are simple, scalable, and fit for a high-volume operational workforce
Lead the design and embedding of job architecture and pay structures within Workday
Bring legacy compensation, bonus, and reward data into the HRIS in a structured and scalable way
Support compensation planning cycles within Workday, ensuring smooth execution across countries
Partner with HRIS and Payroll teams to improve data integrity, reporting, and reward analytics
Requirements:
Strong experience in Compensation & Benefits / Reward roles, combining both operational delivery and build experience
Proven track record of running annual pay review and bonus cycles across the UK and Europe.
Experience working across multiple European countries (UK, France, Germany & Switzerland)
Hands-on experience building job architecture and pay structures
Experience with Workday, particularly compensation and job architecture design
Experience in acquisitive, fast-paced, or PE-backed environments is highly desirable
Strong analytical and commercial capability, including benchmarking and cost modelling
Highly hands-on and detail-oriented, comfortable working in the data and systems
Pragmatic and solutions-focused, able to balance consistency with local flexibility
Strong collaborator, able to work effectively across multiple countries and stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a scaling, evolving environment with ambiguity
Able to switch between operational execution and strategic thinking
