Utilize Autodesk Revit, Fabrication MEP, and related BIM software to develop detailed 3D models, shop drawings, and installation drawings for HVAC sheet metal systems
Produce coordinated fabrication-level drawings that support field installation, prefabrication, and constructability requirements
Collaborate with project teams, including engineering, field operations, and other trades, to ensure accurate coordination within a virtual construction (BIM) environment
Participate in clash detection, coordination meetings, and model reviews to resolve design and layout conflicts
Support model development from concept through construction, commissioning, and project closeout, ensuring alignment with project schedules and deliverables
Maintain and apply company BIM standards, templates, and workflows to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of all deliverables
Assist with project setup, model organization, and data management to support efficient BIM execution and downstream fabrication processes
Interface with fabrication shops and field teams to ensure model outputs align with fabrication methods, installation sequencing, and prefabrication strategies
Requirements
Strong working knowledge of HVAC sheet metal systems, ductwork layout, and mechanical equipment in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Fabrication MEP tools, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
Understanding of BIM coordination processes, including clash detection, model integration, and multi-trade collaboration
Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and engineering drawings and translate them into accurate BIM models
Familiarity with fabrication workflows, spool drawings, and installation sequencing is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience utilizing Revit in a BIM or detailing environment
Preferred 3–5+ years of practical field experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication and installation
Demonstrated experience supporting fabrication-driven or construction-focused BIM workflows is highly desirable
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience
