Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join Microsoft’s Corporate Accounting Revenue Recognition team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of billions of dollars in revenue reporting across global markets. As part of this high-performing team, you will help shape and enable some of the company's largest and most strategic deals. The role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you’ll tackle complex challenges and collaborate with stakeholders worldwide. The Revenue Program Manager will focus on the prioritization and coordination of deal reviews across our global team driving operational efficiency and ensuring alignment with program objetives and timelines. In addition, the role will evaluate customer deals to ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and build strong relationships supporting deal structures.

  • Advising key stakeholders (Deal Desk, Sales, Sales Finance) of the revenue recognition implications of custom solutions and negotiated customer contractual terms
  • Closely partnering with Systems and Tools program lead to deliver innovative AI solutions that improve processes and outcomes for the revenue recognition program

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND many years of accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND multiple years of accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence business partners and deliver complex messages with clarity
  • Multiple years of accounting experience with exposure to revenue recognition (ASC 606) and process improvement initiatives using tools such as Power Query, SQL, and Fabric
  • Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Critical thinking, comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity with tenacity to find answers and reach conclusions and operational excellence
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Project Management experience
