Our great healthcare client in the Nashville area is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to support and optimize end-to-end revenue operations. This onsite role will oversee core functions across the order-to-cash / patient revenue lifecycle, with a focus on improving cash collections, reducing denials, and strengthening overall process efficiency. This opportunity is well-suited for someone who can step in quickly, assess current workflows, and implement practical improvements across billing, coding, and collections.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the full revenue cycle process, including patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections
Manage and improve claims submission processes, ensuring timely and accurate filing
Monitor and reduce denial rates, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans
Review and analyze key KPIs such as Days in AR, Net Collection Rate, First Pass Resolution Rate, Clean Claim Rate, Denial Rate / Write-offs
Lead A/R follow-up efforts, including aged receivables and insurance reimbursement issues
Oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure alignment with billing and collections activity
Partner with coding teams to ensure accurate use of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
Drive improvements in charge lag and billing lag metrics
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, contracts, and regulatory standards
Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly revenue cycle reports and dashboards to leadership
Requirements
5+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle operations, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle processes in a healthcare setting
Experience improving KPIs tied to collections, denials, and cash flow
Ability to quickly assess workflows and implement process improvements
Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail
Comfortable working onsite and collaborating across multiple teams
Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred)
Experience with major EMR / Practice Management systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, NextGen, or Meditech
Familiarity with clearinghouses (Change Healthcare, Availity, Waystar, etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
