Robert Half is partnering with a respected healthcare organization in search of a Revenue Cycle Director to lead and elevate all aspects of the revenue cycle function. This leadership role will oversee billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, denial resolution, cash applications, collections, and related operations to support financial health and long-term performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience leading revenue cycle strategy within a healthcare setting, with a focus on process improvement, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and team development. This person will work closely with finance, clinical, operational, and technology leaders to improve cash flow, strengthen controls, and optimize reimbursement outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership across core revenue cycle operations, including billing, claims, denials, A/R, collections, and cash posting
Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as collections, denial trends, reimbursement turnaround, and A/R aging
Use reporting and analytics to identify performance gaps, reduce revenue leakage, and implement corrective action plans
Partner cross-functionally to improve charge capture, coding accuracy, encounter closure, eligibility verification, and authorization workflows
Ensure compliance with payer rules and applicable federal and state regulations
Oversee audits, internal controls, policy development, and process standardization across the revenue cycle
Lead optimization of Epic and other revenue cycle technologies to improve efficiency and reporting
Manage, mentor, and develop revenue cycle staff, including financial counseling and patient assistance support functions
Stay current on reimbursement changes, payer trends, and industry best practices impacting healthcare revenue operations
Requirements:
Progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
Strong knowledge of billing, reimbursement, denials, collections, compliance, and revenue cycle analytics
Experience working with Epic or a comparable healthcare revenue cycle platform
Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and collaborate across departments
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
