We are looking for an experienced Revenue Cycle Director to oversee and optimize the management of revenue cycle operations for a healthcare client in Richmond, Virginia. This role will focus on improving administrative processes, enhancing team productivity, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth and leadership within the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Direct and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including billing, collections, cash posting, refunds, and monthly reporting
Identify opportunities for improvement in administrative processes to enhance cash flow, reduce outstanding accounts receivable, and improve billing accuracy
Lead and implement changes in systems, team structures, and operational workflows to achieve optimal organizational results
Supervise and develop departmental staff by fostering engagement, defining roles, supporting skill development, and ensuring accountability and productivity
Monitor team workloads and production metrics to ensure equity and support organizational goals
Communicate industry and payor updates that impact revenue cycle processes to internal and external stakeholders
Provide guidance on resolving client revenue-related issues and making adjustments for uncollectable claims
Analyze performance metrics related to payer payment methodologies and troubleshoot issues to optimize revenue cycle outcomes
Review and manage departmental budgets, forecast revenue projections, and align operations with strategic goals
Ensure compliance with current industry practices and regulatory requirements affecting revenue cycle activities
Requirements:
Extensive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including billing and collections
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes and medical billing practices
Familiarity with ambulatory surgery and healthcare billing operations
Proven ability to analyze and interpret system reports to identify and resolve operational challenges
Leadership experience managing teams, fostering engagement, and ensuring productivity
Knowledge of government and private payer payment methodologies and compliance standards
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address client and operational matters
Ability to develop and implement strategies for improving administrative efficiencies and achieving organizational goals
