Ellie Mental Health Larchmont is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Client Services & Billing Specialist to join our revenue cycle team. This role blends insurance billing and client-facing support in a fast-growing behavioral health practice. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate claims processing, timely collections, and a positive financial experience for our clients while partnering closely with clinicians and administrative leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Submit primary and secondary insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
Review, research, and resolve denied or rejected claims
follow up with payers as needed
Manage aging reports and pursue unpaid claims to resolution
Respond to patient billing questions and explain balances clearly and professionally
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and post payments
Secure and manage prior authorizations when required
Assist with audits, month-end reconciliation, and financial reporting
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams on documentation, coding accuracy, and billing workflows
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral or mental health
Strong working knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 coding, insurance billing rules, and full-cycle revenue operations
Experience with EHR or practice management systems required
Valant EHR experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with major payers including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and Medicaid
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism
