Job Description:

As UpGuard continues its rapid growth trajectory, we are seeking an experienced data analyst to support our Revenue team. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, this critical role is responsible for driving significant business value through strategic insights, self-service business intelligence development, and operational data support. The analyst will support the Revenue team in understanding its drivers of performance, unblocking team members with operational data, and acting as a strategic partner to our growing business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generate compelling and actionable insights from complex data sets that directly lead to demonstrable commercial success across the organisation
  • Establish strong collaborative relationships and engage closely with key stakeholders across all departments of the company, delivering high-impact data analytics initiatives
  • Partner strategically with cross-functional stakeholders to not only provide robust self-service conversational analytics capabilities but also to meticulously utilise design thinking principles for the creation of critical, user-friendly dashboards
  • Work with the data engineering team to design, construct, and maintain foundational data assets and robust data products for reliable, organisation-wide consumption and use
  • Personally conduct thorough, hands-on, and highly technical data analysis to effectively diagnose and solve the most significant and complex business challenges facing the company
  • Provide ongoing operational support to support the commercial growth of the organisation, leveraging a deep understanding of financial and business metrics.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years delivering Analytics solutions for Sales and Success teams within a high-growth SaaS company
  • Experience in a consulting role, successfully managing a diverse portfolio of projects across various companies and stakeholder groups
  • Strong understanding of modern data infrastructure (e.g., cloud data warehouses like BigQuery
  • ETL/ELT tools
  • dbt model development
  • modern data visualisation tools like ThoughtSpot, OMNI, Looker)
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business problems, identify key performance indicators, and translate data into strategic insights that drive tangible business value
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence decision-making
  • Highly analytical and strategic mindset, with a proven track record of developing and executing data strategies that align with business objectives
  • Directly engage in the creation of fundamental data and Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure and assets.

Nice to have:

  • Proven experience as a data scientist or AI engineer, ideally within a SaaS company environment
  • Experience in developing and deploying FP+A solutions, board reporting, or other relevant commercial applications.
