The HPE Revenue Analyst, will provide significant contribution to the Revenue accounting function for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, reporting into the Revenue Accounting Analyst. This role will have responsibility for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Revenue Accounting and will partner with business unit finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others as necessary to provide Revenue accounting analysis and support on transactions and accounting issues. The analyst will communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization’s financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results externally.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the Lead of one or more BU SSP studies
Publish SSP and/or allocation reports on a monthly or quarterly basis for assigned studies as required
Create/improve reporting processes to standardize on a WW level
Maintain appropriate documentation related to the SSP calculation process
Coordinate with IA/EY to facilitate the annual audit of SOX compliance controls related to revenue allocation
Work with IT groups to migrate from current legacy data sources
Revenue analysis and RAR reconciliations
Review and posting of journal entries as required
Coordinate with Internal Audit and EY on the certification of the SOX controls and audits to meet organization objectives
Supports RPA and process transformation initiatives
Supports policy and process improvement opportunities
Participate in projects and/or lead testing for new RAR platforms supporting as a Service offering and the related reporting solutions
Work with business partners within HPE to refine and improve data sources, improve overall data automation and accommodate new business models and acquisitions for SSP reporting
Partner with BUs and GEOs to investigate revenue allocations on actual orders to ensure accuracy and determine overall allocation drivers
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, accounting (e.g., CPA (or equivalent), MBA) preferred
10 years of experience in a finance function
Big four public accounting experience is a plus
Experience with technology industry and international companies preferred
Experience of working in SAP S4 HANA
Strong knowledge of ASC 606/IFRS 15
Experience in business application (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAP)
