Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Accounting Manager to own and optimize the end‑to‑end SaaS contract‑to‑cash process for a rapidly growing technology company serving enterprise customers. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role that plays a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, revenue recognition, and financial insights that support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SaaS revenue accounting, thrives in cross‑functional environments, has a strong process‑improvement mindset, and is comfortable operating in evolving systems. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale a revenue accounting function, including potential people leadership as the organization grows.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and manage the end-to-end SaaS contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, bookings, revenue recognition, and recurring revenue metrics (ARR/CARR)
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue accounting, including policy development, technical guidance, and cross-functional alignment
  • Review and interpret customer contracts and statements of work to ensure compliance with ASC 606
  • Oversee and execute billing for new and renewing SaaS customer contracts with accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform customer account and subscription reconciliations to validate revenue accuracy and identify opportunities or leakage
  • Analyze revenue trends and fluctuations
  • provide insights to improve performance and predictability
  • Lead monthly close activities related to revenue, including reconciliations, flux analysis, flash reporting, and inputs to board or executive reporting
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success to ensure scalable and accurate revenue processes from contract inception
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting on financial and operational performance
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and support growth
  • Support and/or lead implementations and optimization of financial systems across the order-to-cash technology stack (CRM, billing, ERP)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or financial analysis, primarily in a SaaS environment
  • Strong command of ASC 606, including application to complex and non-standard contracts
  • Experience with subscription-based billing models and recurring revenue analytics
  • Hands-on experience with contract review, billing operations, and revenue close
  • Proficiency with financial systems such as CRM platforms, revenue management tools, and ERPs
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated success improving manual or spreadsheet-heavy processes in a scaling organization
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA
  • Experience supporting customers in regulated or complex enterprise environments
  • Exposure to automation or AI-enabled accounting tools
