Job Responsibility

  • Own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Lead the revenue close
  • Serve as the internal expert on how new products, pricing structures, and commercial arrangements hit the income statement
  • Partner closely with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to review contracts, assess performance obligations, and ensure revenue is recognised accurately and on time
  • Manage the technical standards
  • Coordinate external audit
  • Build scalable processes as we move toward IPO readiness

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal vs. agent analysis
  • Experience leading the revenue close: deferred revenue management, unbilled receivables, journal entry review, and month-end flux analysis
  • Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments
  • Experience operating in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external audit, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation
  • CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification (active)
  • Big 4 or public accounting background a strong plus
  • Strong systems proficiency
  • Stripe, HubiFi or a comparable revenue recognition tool preferred

Nice to have

  • Experience with consumption/usage-based and subscription billing models
  • Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) and AR accounting in a high-volume SaaS context
  • Multi-entity or international revenue accounting background

  • Evaluate revenue-related trends such as bookings, billings, deferred balances, churn, and renewals, and explain significant movements to stakeholders
