Job Description

As a Reuse Development Manager at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in delivering the company’s reuse strategy across the UK. You will be responsible for developing and negotiating new reuse projects and initiatives, managing and improving existing reuse contracts, and building strong relationships with charity and third-sector partners. This is a pivotal role supporting business growth, sustainability objectives, and operational performance across the recycling division.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the growth and development of FCC Environment’s reuse business
  • Developing and negotiating new reuse projects, initiatives and charity partnerships
  • Managing, monitoring and improving performance of existing reuse contracts
  • Providing high-level support to operational teams in managing contracts and charity relationships
  • Maintaining a pipeline of reuse projects and reporting performance on a monthly basis
  • Supporting marketing activity for the reuse business
  • Working closely with procurement and bidding teams to develop reuse solutions for future tenders
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with charity, third-sector and industry partners
  • Developing KPIs and reporting financial and operational performance
  • Preparing business cases and approval documentation for new reuse initiatives
  • Working with legal teams to draft and manage reuse contracts and agreements
  • Supporting the setup and development of FCC-operated reuse shops and repair initiatives
  • Producing monthly reports and performance data for senior stakeholders
  • Representing FCC Environment at industry events, conferences and networking groups

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience within the waste, reuse and/or charity sectors
  • Strong understanding of the reuse and charity marketplace
  • Commercial and financial awareness, including contract knowledge
  • Experience delivering business or project development programmes
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to influence at all levels internally and externally
  • A proactive, performance-driven approach with strong organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
