A private UHNW family based in Knightsbridge are seeking an experienced and professional Retainer Nanny from April / May 2026, to care for three children (born February 2015, March 2017 and October 2020). The successful candidate will cover sickness and holiday leave for the existing Rota Nannies, maintaining seamless continuity of care within a fully staffed household. Previous experience working within a UHNW or high-profile private family environment is essential, as is a confident and adaptable approach to travel, both within Europe and internationally. The family have three dogs. Accommodation is provided within the family home.
Job Responsibility:
Provide full-time care for three children aged 4–11 years, covering sickness and holiday leave for the Rota Nannies
Ensure consistency, stability and routine for the children at all times
Plan and prepare engaging activities for evenings, weekends and school holidays
Manage school runs, appointments and extracurricular activities as required
Carry out children’s laundry and tidying of playrooms and children’s areas of the home
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Work collaboratively and professionally as part of the wider nanny team and household staff
Maintain clear communication with the parents and household manager
Handle administrative tasks during school hours, including scheduling and holiday planning
Travel with the family during school holidays to Europe and internationally
Requirements:
Significant experience working with children of similar ages (4–11 years)
Previous experience working for a UHNW or high-profile private family — essential
Previous experience in a rota or retainer nanny position is advantageous
Confident and experienced travelling internationally with a family
Highly flexible and adaptable, with the ability to step in at short notice
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
Confident working on their own initiative with a high degree of autonomy
A warm, mature and professional approach to childcare
Comfortable living and working in a fully staffed household
Happy to be around dogs
A full DBS check and up-to-date references will be required
