Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a Retail Supervisor to join our team based at our Midlands site. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 21 hours per week. In return, you will receive a salary of £16,676.69. The Royal Air Force Museum is as a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity. We have two public sites in the Midlands and London and a stored collection at Stafford. Our purpose is to share the RAF story – past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections to engage, inform and inspire. Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising day to day retail operational activity
  • Ensuring provision of consistently high standards of customer care
  • Maximising commercial return from retail activities
  • Supporting all commercial operations
  • Delivering an excellent visitor experience
  • Contributing to interpretation of the story of the RAF
  • Supporting daily operations across the Museum

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in commercial retail sales, EPOS and stock control systems
  • Promotion and delivery of a high standard of customer service and care
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Passion in leading and motivating a team
  • Driving the standards of both service and sales
