Job Description:

Retail Sales Planner - Keyholder position at IKEA focused on optimizing the shopping experience and maximizing retail sales. Responsible for providing interior design guidance, selling specialized home furnishing solutions, building customer relationships, and overseeing store operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Use knowledge of interior design to provide guidance on layout, color, style and accessories
  • Utilize specialized knowledge and training to sell specialized home furnishing solutions
  • Create relationships with customers to identify customer needs and provide support
  • Apply basic measurement techniques and understanding of planning, design, and construction
  • Drive repeat visitation to the IKEA stores by ensuring customer-centric service
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations when assigned, including opening and/or closing duties
  • Responsible for a safe and secure work environment
  • Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Ensure implementation of working routines and competence development
  • Perform CMP goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently

Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience
  • Previous retail selling experience
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment
  • Experience leading change initiatives and building new programs in a retail space environment
  • Experience in designing kitchen and bath preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification is a required condition of employment for this role (Training provided)
  • Travel is required for this role (25-50% Travel, 2 days per week on avg.)
