Job Description

Join Axon and be a Force for Good. At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other. Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter. The Role: We need a modern, data-driven sales leader who understands the digital shelf as well as the physical one. You will own the P&L for our retail channel, driving strategy and expanding our footprint into major national retailers. You deeply understand retail, and you know what makes products and brands rise above the noise in those environments, and you know how to execute the plan. You will study your retail partners in great depth, understand their goals — from the buyers at HQ to the in-store department — and build scrappy programs to meet our sales objectives while fulfilling the expectations of the retailers. You will be the bridge between our brand and the customer, and just as importantly, the bridge between Sales and Legal/Finance. You will negotiate complex MSAs, manage forecast accuracy, and build a culture of transparency and high performance. This position is remote, ideally based near an Axon hub to support collaboration and connectivity. The role requires approximately 50% travel.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the business, not just the relationship: Manage the Amazon business end-to-end. Deep dive into inventory health, chargebacks, advertising efficacy, and demand planning

  • Communicate with clarity: Distill complex problems into clear, actionable updates
  • Lead with emotional intelligence: Foster a psychologically safe, collaborative environment

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of Retail Sales Experience: Proven track record managing Amazon (Seller or Vendor Central) AND major brick-and-mortar accounts (Mass, Sporting Goods, Consumer Electronics)
  • New Product Introduction Expert: Experience launching hardware products into retail
  • Financial & Legal Acumen: You actually read the contracts. You understand terms, margin implications, and the fine print of retail agreements
  • Operational Rigor: You are self-sufficient. You can build your own decks, run your own pivot tables, and manage your own admin

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for all
  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Fitness Programs
  • Emotional & Mental Wellness support
