Job Responsibility:

  • Optimize sales and maintain profitability by guiding customers toward high-priority and best-selling products
  • Build customer relationships to understand their needs and ensure a positive shopping experience both in-store and remotely
  • Leverage expertise in IKEA's multi-channel retail offerings, empowering customers to shop seamlessly both in-store and remotely, whenever and however they choose
  • Utilize fundamental measurement and construction techniques, combined with a thorough understanding of complex modular furniture planning and basic design principles, to create planning solutions that effectively meet customers’ needs
  • Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked
  • Ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place to give customers a positive shopping experience
  • Express enthusiasm for IKEA products by consistently expanding knowledge of their features and benefits
  • Share this expertise with customers to guide their decision-making, ultimately enriching their shopping experience
  • Understand the store and department action plans
  • Actively contributes to achieving your department's goals
  • Actively offer all the services available in IKEA to help customers make informed choices, which results in a better shopping experience for them
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability
  • Support the implementation and upkeep of planned and commercial activities in, or involving, your range
  • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • 2 years' relevant work experience
  • Experience in retail, preferably in the home furnishing sector
  • Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs
