Job Description

Salary: £672.50 per week during probation, increasing to £690.00 per week upon successful completion of probation, plus night shift bonus. Hours: 16:30pm – 03:00am, 50 hours per week. Own transport is essential due to the remote location.

Job Responsibility

  • To maintain smooth and cost effective operations in your department
  • To maintain the highest quality standards and to meet customers expectations regarding those standards
  • To maximize yield and minimise waste
  • To ensure your department conforms to current hygiene requirements
  • To ensure your department conforms to current health and safety requirements
  • Motivate and supervise team of operatives
  • Production efficiency monitoring with SIC boards and KPI information
  • Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards
  • Monitor labour costs
  • Ensure consistent flow of production data
  • Review production methods and systems
  • Monitor waste levels
  • Set up department machinery
  • Liaise with Personnel Manager/Training Officer
  • Ensure all production control procedures are maintained
  • Any other manual or management duties relating to food production
  • Supervise the Health & Safety function
