Retail Pharmacy Supervisor position in Oshkosh, WI. Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Responsible for clinical program management, patient care, team supervision, interdepartmental collaboration, regulatory compliance, education and training, and quality improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Clinical Program Management: Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
Patient Care: Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient counseling
Supervise pharmacy team members
Coordinate schedules and workflows for the team
Provide daily direction to the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Focus on team completion of assignments and being accountable for achieving short-term performance goals and priorities
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and protocols
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including those of the DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy boards
Education and Training: Educate and train pharmacy staff, residents, and students in clinical pharmacy practices and principles
Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery
Requirements:
Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices
Patient facing teammates are required to have three certifications: Immunization, BLS through an entity approved by Advocate Health and non-vaccine injectable to be granted from the state of WI or if from out of state, the program is approved by the accreditation council for pharmacy education (ACPE) or by the WI pharmacy examining board
Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school
Typically requires 2 years of work-related experience in pharmacy practice
Advanced level knowledge and strategic direction of pharmaceutical services
Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills
Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products
Strong aptitude in human resource management
Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously and effectively
Requires considerable walking and standing, pushing medication carts, and lifting materials up to 20 pounds
Must be able to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing, and data entry into the computer
Good manual finger dexterity and ability to hear normal sounds with moderate background noise
Must be able to read small type such as that on unit-dose medication packages
Must be able to speak and be understood by others to communicate effectively
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods
