Job Description:

CVS Media Exchange is hiring an Industry Manager (Director of Sales) for our Beauty & Personal Care sales team. This role will report to the Head of Sales. CVS Media Exchange [CMX] is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, stores, GMs, brand advertisers, and agencies. Our full-funnel ad solutions leverage CVS’s in-store and online data, extensive reach, and to provide measurable results for our clientele. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service; these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with CVS consumers, and convert CVS consumers to shoppers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Creates sales strategy and builds a culture of collaboration to achieve industry-wide sales targets within the annual operating plan by building plans to achieve internal annual objectives
  • Developing a sales strategy for instore with a minimum sales target of around $30M+
  • finalizing revenue targets for each account along with general managers based on past trend analysis
  • Recommending broad approaches and areas of opportunities to meet the targets and long-range plans to senior leadership and team: highlighting areas of concern or bottlenecks to the leadership team
  • Understanding the industry strategy across other departments including, marketing, eCommerce marketing, product, strategy and in-store
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders including, merchandising heads, general managers, senior partners of suppliers, agencies and marketers to drive the business forward
  • Lead by example by providing direction and guidance to associates on best-in-class approach to all of CMX’s offerings including onsite, offsite, social, and instore
  • Conducting weekly meetings, providing constructive feedback to partner associates to enhance skills, knowledge, brand perception, institutional knowledge, and work performance
  • conducting performance and career development conversations
  • engaging and mentoring less experienced managers and associates
  • Oversees and is responsible for financial results in area of responsibility by building action plans to achieve annual objectives across various groups (for example, product, platform, operations, finance, marketing, research, strategy, and sales)

  • creating a playbook for the industry in partnership with other industry managers

  • and supporting associate efforts in these areas
  • Own strategic high-level relationships within the Beauty and Personal Care space that results in leveraging CMX’s full omni-channel solutions for B&PC brands

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in advertising sales, advertising and sales
  • 3+ years’ experience managing high performing media sales teams
  • Strong portfolio of relationships within the Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) space
  • Experience with retail media or retail/ecommerce agency experience

Nice to have:

  • Prior Retail Media Network, shopper marketing sales, eCommerce sales and/or retail advertising sales experience
  • Experience in brand advertising (for example, TV or video, sponsorship), media sales, customer acquisition and growth, search, mobile and online sales
  • Previous traditional sales experience, preferably in digital media with BPC clients
  • Brand category management experience
  • Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and verbal forms across a diverse audience base
