Are you a commercially minded marketer who loves delivering high‑impact campaigns and building great relationships with stakeholders? This is an exciting opportunity to join Vertu Motors—one of the UK’s largest and most successful motor retail groups—and work with some of the industry’s most recognisable automotive manufacturers. We’re looking for someone highly organised, proactive and collaborative, who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident managing multiple campaigns across several brands. The role will support brands such as Peugeot, Vauxhall and Citroën. As a Retail Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering the full marketing mix, enhancing brand awareness, and driving footfall and enquiries across our dealerships—while ensuring all activity meets FCA regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver all New, Commercial and Motability campaigns by franchise
  • Ensure seamless execution with first‑class delivery management
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturer partners to improve collaboration and campaign output
  • Manage franchise budgets effectively, driving cost efficiency and providing clear performance commentary
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitors, customer behaviours and market trends to continually improve campaign effectiveness
  • Partner with our in‑house Advertising team to create compelling marketing plans aligned with national manufacturer activity
  • Work closely with dealerships and central teams to maximise sponsorships, local partnerships and event activity
  • Lead the planning and delivery of dealership retention events, coordinating materials, communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure all website content—offers, new model launches and campaign updates—is accurate, engaging and up to date
  • Consolidate and brief offers to Studio and Media partners to produce high‑quality creative and impactful regional media assets
  • Represent the division at key forums including Divisional Operations Meetings, dealership reviews and manufacturer conferences
  • Support the Central Marketing team on outdoor events and other partnership activity

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Confident using data to inform marketing decisions
  • Understanding of Google Analytics
  • Ability to travel to Gateshead and dealership sites as required

Nice to have:

  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Automotive marketing experience
  • CIM qualification
