Job Description:

SCI (and sister company Ameriscan Designs) is a vertically integrated design and manufacturing firm with over 35 years of experience in creating custom spaces. We offer end-to-end solutions—from concept and prototyping to fabrication and installation—for clients across industries such as restaurants, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, corporate, and gaming. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Retail Business Development Manager in a newly created role to drive growth within our retail sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail industry, including various markets and product categories such as fixtures, millwork, and graphics
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company objectives
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales within the retail or commercial design industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the retail market and client needs within SCI’s focus industries
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
