Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly and motivated retail Assitant eager to join The Hollies family farm shop team, offering proven skills in customer service, cash handling, and product care. Experienced in restocking shelves, monitoring inventory, and ensuring all produce is fresh and appealing. Committed to educating customers about farm products and promoting a positive shopping experience while supporting farm operations and adhering to health and safety standards. Retail assistants play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and smooth store operations, handling tasks from cleaning, sales support to inventory management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • comfortable in engaging with customers
  • Provide product information and recommendations
  • Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked shelves
  • Maintain clean, presentable shop, including entrance, floors and till areas
  • Receive, unpack, and display merchandise
  • Assist with stock control and inventory checks, highlighting shortages
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
  • Follow store policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines
  • Support promotions and sales initiatives

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • To be comfortable to approach Senior member if they have any concerns
  • Excellent teamwork skills
